Due to the weather forecast of a major ice storm with brutal temperatures coming through our area Gallatin County CUSD 7 will not be in session tomorrow Wednesday, February 10th. We will have an E-Learning day. Students are asked to do their virtual attendance and check their google classrooms for their school work. All sports for Wednesday night have been cancelled and will be rescheduled.

Snow is coming! Gallatin County CUSD 7 will be dismissing students today after we feed them lunch. Buses will leave the district around 12 p.m. The National Weather Service is expecting snowfall to begin around noon in our area and for us to receive up to two-three inches of accumulation and the temperature is expected to stay at 32 degrees. We now have e-learning (weather related days) and students will have their classwork downloaded on their Chromebooks to finish at home.
All sports practices are cancelled for today.

Just a reminder to Seniors and Parents FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is required for graduation this year for Seniors. Information was sent out last Oct/Nov including a video presentation on the FAFSA process. A reminder was emailed to Seniors 2 weeks ago. The FAFSA presentation which is very helpful is located on Mr. Cruson's google classroom. Please contact Mr. Cruson with questions. dcruson@gallatincusd7.com
As part of our registration process you indicated whether your student will receive in person or virtual instruction at Gallatin County CUSD #7. As stated on page 16 of the Return to School Plan students are allowed to switch from in person to virtual learning and vice versa one (1) time in the nine (9) week grading period.
If an IN PERSON student will not be attending school on any particular day a parent or guardian must notify the office. The in person student’s lack of attendance at school will count as an absence. However, they will be able to keep up with their missed work via Google Classroom and Google Meets. The only exception to this would be if the student has a doctor note or is required to quarantine. In that instance the student will be required to log in as a virtual student and follow the remote student expectations.

These days will be full remote days. Breakfast and lunches will be delivered at the same time in all communities at the regular locations at 10:30 AM.
SIC Scholarship application is now available in Mr. Cruson's Google classroom- along with all other scholarships that have already become available. Don't wait till the last minute to fill out your applications.
Gallatin County Schools will NOT be accepting deliveries for Valentine's Day this year.
ATTENTION STUDENTS, PARENTS AND GUARDIANS: This is a reminder that Gallatin County Schools will return to our in-person “blue day” schedule starting this Monday, January 4th. We look forward to seeing our students! If you have any questions, please call (618) 272-3821. Virtual learners can continue to pick up grab and go breakfast and lunch meals between 10am-11am each day by phoning ahead to order. As you know we have learned during this pandemic that things may change in a moment, but we are looking forward to returning to in-person learning to finish up the 20-21 school year. Please remember to wear your mask and practice social distancing as we continue our mitigation practices for the safety of all students and staff. Early drop off for working parents is still at 7:30. Students, Parents, and Guardians,
Given the unique circumstances of this year, we believe there is great value in providing our students with as many instructional minutes as possible. Therefore, this year we will provide students with remote/eLearning on days when in-person learning is not possible due to adverse weather conditions (usually known as snow days).
On these days, students will have abbreviated schedules that allow them to receive quality instruction and enjoy some free time for snow cream and snowman making! A call and text message will be sent out if we cancel in-person schooling for the eLearning snow day option!
NOTE: The weather forecast for Tuesday evening into early Wednesday morning is a possible light dusting of snow. They are expecting NO accumulation; as always, we will check roads and have an eLearning day if road conditions are unsafe.
