This month, our school has recognized November as National Diabetes Awareness Month. To show our support, we are asking all students and staff to wear blue this Friday, November 21st. 💙
It’s Gallatin County FFA Alumni Annual Fundraiser time! Boston Butts will be cooked by Pat Koester and are $40 each. The meat will be shredded and sold in 5 lb. vacuum-sealed bags. In honor of Veteran’s Day, there will be a $5 discount on each Boston Butt purchased by a veteran. To place an order, call or text (618) 313-0783. Orders can be picked up on Tuesday, November 11th, from 2:00–7:00 PM in the GC Ag Shop. Thank you for supporting our FFA program and the dedicated alumni who work tirelessly to help it thrive.

Parents and Guardians,
Please be aware of our dedicated traffic safety guard, Alex, who is stationed in the two outside lanes at the front of the parking lot where buses enter. Alex's crucial job is to stop outgoing car traffic to ensure our school buses can safely enter the lot and deliver students. You will easily recognize Alex by his yellow safety vest and waving STOP SIGN. We ask everyone to drive alertly and remain off all electronic devices while in the school zone to ensure the well-being of our students, employees, and traffic safety personnel. #gALLatIN
Seniors/Parents & Guardians- FAFSA completion night is set for this Thursday from 3:30-6:30 in the high school library. You do not have to register to come but you can come at anytime during that time frame. If you have an FSA ID for both student and parent, your time to finish the FAFSA should be about 30 minutes. Just a reminder the FAFSA is a graduation requirement in the state of Illinois.
Reminder that tomorrow Oct 21st will be Fall Picture Day for all Elementary and Jr High Students.
We will also be taking sport individual and group photos for baseball, softball, cross country, jr high girls & boys basketball and cheer. Athletes should bring all uniform items that they will need for their pictures. We will also be taking group photos for Jr High Scholar Bowl and Student Council, please bring your team/club shirt for photo.

FYI:
We had a gas odor in the commons area late this afternoon. The Shawneetown Fire Department and Consumer Gas came out to check things. Consumer Gas double-checked everything and gave us the all clear.
Thank you,
Dr. Kaegi
