We had a gas odor in the commons area late this afternoon. The Shawneetown Fire Department and Consumer Gas came out to check things. Consumer Gas double-checked everything and gave us the all clear.

Seniors and Parents/Guardians, On Thursday, October 23rd we will be hosting a FAFSA completion night in the high school library. From 3:30 - 6:30 that day we will have representatives from SIC financial aid department to help with the completion of the FAFSA. The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, it is what is used to determine the amount of grant money your student will receive when going to college. Completion of the FAFSA or a FAFSA no participation form is a graduation requirement in the State of Illinois. On FAFSA completion night you can come in at any point between 3:30 and 6:30 and it typically takes 30-40 minutes to complete.

MyGate Access: Students must be accepted and have an activated MyGate account to access the application.
Need Help? Encourage students to contact our Help Desk before October 1st at 270-809-2346 if they have MyGate access issues.
Deposit: A $150 deposit is required. If a student decides not to attend Murray State and notifies us by May 1st, $100 will be refunded.
Residency Requirement: Please note that all freshmen and sophomores are required to live on campus.

Quick meeting for 8 th grade parents in junior high gym

There will be a short informational meeting for 8th grade parents at 6:45 in the junior high gym. It is not a mandatory meeting. I will be giving out information about 8th grade trip. I will also be sending same info home with 8th graders and it is located in the student handbooks.

Reminder ALL RETURNING and NEW Gallatin County students need to complete online registration via Teacher Ease before Monday, Aug 11th. Registration must be completed online for students returning from last year and for any new students entering the district. You must register before coming to school Tuesday, August 11..
