Just a reminder that all high school students should have received an email with their work, grades 4-8 have work on Google Classroom, and younger grades had a packet sent home last week. If you have not received your child’s work, or need a paper copy, the offices are open from 8-2 tomorrow.

Spring break will still be in April as previously planned on our school calendar. No changes!
The mandatory closure of Gallatin County CUSD 7 will begin Tuesday March 17. Currently we anticipate the closure to last through Tuesday March 30. We anticipated a possible closure, so teachers did send home books and work with your children for them to do while they are home these next ten days. Teachers will discuss with your children Monday what work they need to complete and return. Please do not work ahead and make your child work all weekend. Teachers will explain to your children and send home a note on Monday regarding the work. Currently all Athletics and extra curricular activities including practices are cancelled. Beginning Tuesday March 17, we will provide pick up areas in our towns and villages for free breakfast and lunches for our students. Thank you for you patience as we work through this unprecedented event in our lifetime. We will send out updates as we receive them. #Hawkstrong
Governor Pritzker announced at 3:30 today all Illinois public and private schools will close as of Tuesday, March 17 through Monday, March 30. All athletic and extra curricular activities including practices are also cancelled. See you Monday!!
3rd and 4th grade honor roll for the 3rd quarter
After making quilts during the 3rd quarter, the sewing classes toured the National Quilt Museum today for inspiration. If you have never been, give it a try! The quilts are amazing!
Addyson Monroe finished her quilt yesterday. She has worked very hard on it, even having to go on a search for more fabric! She did a great job!
The Gallatin County School recently held their annual Quest for St. Jude, February 2nd through February 24th. As always, this year was a huge success. The entire school, community, and Jr. High Student Council pulled together raising money to help fight childhood cancer. The money has been counted and the classroom that collected the most will celebrate with a pizza party. Third place was Mrs. Makenzie Tuttle’s sixth grade class with $91.50. Second place was Ms. Amanda Drone’s seventh grade class with $154.81. First place was Mrs. Rikki DeNeals’ first grade class with $176.24. This year’s school-wide grand total was $777.35. The Jr. High Student Council would like to thank you for your help in supporting such a great cause! Donations may still be made to the school prior to our z100 St. Jude’s check presentation on March 27th. The students are pictured with Student Council President Isaac Walters. All Jr High activities for today Thursday, March 12th after school have been cancelled. This includes tutoring and volleyball. The volleyball game scheduled for tonight has been cancelled and there will be no practice.
